Today, December 8th, Jupiter turns retrograde, and will travel backwards through Leo for four months, when he will return to direct motion on April 8th, 2015.

Jupiter represents the expansive and expressive energy of optimism, as well as faith in a meaningful future. With the backward motion there could also be an inward turning, so that the emphasis could shift to contemplating and possibility reevaluating cherished values and beliefs. There may be elements of looking more deeply into Jupiterian areas of life, such as plans for travel, completing advanced education, or taking workshops or other curriculums that facilitate higher learning.

The timing of this Jupiter retrograde is taking place during one peak of the Uranus-Pluto square that frames this entire decade with massive change and revolution, and which was triggered by the recent Full Moon. This configuration perfects its 90-degree angle on December 15th, suggesting that with all of the changes you have undergone this year, you will this month be experiencing still more. As you arrive at another peak moment of metamorphosis, it could be time to evaluate how and in what ways you can integrate these recent and continuing transformations into your framework of beliefs and values, that are ultimately responsible for your thoughts, actions, ways of being.
