Tuesday evening's Last Quarter Moon in Capricorn represents in many ways a perfect follow-up to the very intense Full Moon from the middle of the last week of March. This particular phase signals that we are trying hard to get the essence of what is really happening to us now; reevaluation is almost certain to be a part of that. The Moon is conjunct Pluto while the Sun remains close to Uranus, and in aspect to Saturn, so that, amidst the tensions of the Sun-Moon square that makes everyone at least a bit edgy, the forming Uranus-Pluto square is once again highlighted, signaling the opportunity for deep insight and resulting transformation.
This kind of opportunity might seem drastic, since Pluto is like a wrecking ball that does not always discriminate but instead just knocks down the whole pre-existing structure. Uranus is another planetary energy that tends to over-do. We however sometimes do need that kick in the pants, to really get going. The evolutionary pressure has to build to a huge level before anything begins to happen, perhaps from being stuck in the rut of whatever we are used to and attached to, but no longer serves us. We can choose to go more gracefully, or hang on for dear life to our old ways; eventually we will go anyway.
And it is personal transformation rather than societal that is most poignantly calling to us now. The Sun also conjuncts both Mars and Venus, so that relationship issues, as well as perhaps a certain degree of reactivity, continue to come for us. And, with Saturn and Pluto involved, by square and by quincunx aspect, some structure must unavoidably shift, so that major adjustment is required. None of this is easy. A struggle may be essential if we want to get to where we need to be, according to our deepest soul purpose.
An additional clue is provided by the fact that there are yod formations currently to both Saturn and to Jupiter. Our faith in ourselves – and indeed our faith in the cosmos to sustain us – is on the line. We need to be especially mindful of where we shine brightly forth, and where give in to negativity and desperation, although both of these emotional reactions are natural, and perhaps even necessary, as we fight our way through.
