Today Mercury moves from the darker depths of Scorpio into more jovial expansive realms of Sagittarius — and this is quite good timing for the Thanksgiving Holiday here in the U.S. With the Sun, Venus, and Mercury all in Sagittarius, it is a good weekend for socializing and enjoying time with those you love most. This is coincided by Venus making a trine to Uranus, and this morning the Moon marked the midpoint between them in Aquarius. Venus trine Uranus speaks of excitement and heightened expression in social realms, as well as appreciation for individual gifts and ways of loving. With the Moon in the picture there is an emphasis on nurturing and emotional presence. As we contemplate the nature of what it means to feel grateful, may we be reminded of an adage that is appropriate for every day of the year: "I'm not grateful because I'm happy, I'm happy because I'm grateful."
